How to Make a PBAN

Due to popular demand:

How to Make a PBAN

A Pban (peanut butter banana) is a simple, really healthy treat that anyone who knows how to wield a butter knife can make. The better the banana and peanut butter, the better the pban!

Five Steps to my Favorite Food:

1. Start with a small-to medium-sized banana and peanut butter. I like my bananas closer to ripe, because then they're sweeter and the taste goes better with the peanut butter. I use Trader Joe's plain peanut butter, but any kind will do.

2. Slice the banana longways. The closer you come to being right down the middle, the easier it will be to spread the peanut butter later (the middle is a bit more fibrous so it's less slippery):

3. Spread about a tablespoon of peanut butter (half a serving) over one side of the banana. This can be tricky since the banana's a bit slippery, but it is so worth it. I do it in small sections so I don't break the banana.

4. Stick the halves of the banana back together. You could eat it now, but it's kind of messy, and if you're smart and looking for an added bonus, you'll throw it in the fridge for 20-30 minutes or put in the freezer for around 10-15.

5. EAT IT AND LOVE IT!

Awesome. And you should start your own PBLJ (like PB&J, only for LJ, you see...) community. :)

Hey, thanks! You'll have to let me know what you think of it!

Also, my journal is friends-only, but if you want to be added just let me know (though there's nothing too interesting here, heh).

well, sometimes i like it normal PB&J style but nana instead of jelly. and it has to be wheat bread.

but usually, i like to toast the bread (wheat, of course) and when the bread is fresh out of the toaster and nice and warm, slap on of the peanut butter and banana...the PB is so ooey gooey and it just melts in your mouth!

(it's 11:00 and i just got off of work...i can't type!)

since i can't type and already edited, i'll just reply to myself ;P

i went snooping around (as much as i could) just now and i see you are a vegetarian. i just recently decided be a vegetarian. :)

although, i do eat fish and i understand that's a debated topic whether or not it's considered vegetarian. as a matter of fact, i was attacked on yahoo answers when i went on there for some "advice."

anyhoo. i'm rambling now. i just wanted to say "right on!" because it's always interesting to meet a vegetarian, especially now that i've chosen that lifestyle. :)
